Interesting. My experience may not be the best example, as I have a Nexus 5 and only was able to get Nougat via CM14.1. With that said, when I installed OpenVPN after the upgrade and used the same ovpn file as on MM, I could not log in to my server. It would connect, and immediately disconnect.
