The DIR-601 I bought here on Amazon on February 10 2012 and have had no problems. The one to buy at less than $50 is the D-Link DIR-601. 6 years and still going in office environment. I use this to run my Iphone and Ipad and Fire 10" when in the office and now hooked up an Amcrest IP camera to watch the cleaners (stuff going missing). Hi i just happened to have a spare DIR 601 and I already installed DDWRT on it. Now my question is can make this as a wireless bridge or repeater? with only using the signal of my DIR 655 router upstairs?
