Confirm that the calling number is not defined. If it is not displayed then you can focus on the vega's configuration. I don't know the vega gateway but I've worked with other pstn gateways. The ones I've worked with have always forwarded the calling number (unless the call is coming from a POTS line that doesn't have caller ID service).

Caller ID Superfecta works with Asterisk and FreePBX to get caller id information on incoming numbers. This module allows the Superfecta application to use YellowPages.com to get caller information. Simply modify one of the modules your not using (I chose Can411) and write over it with this code. If you’re using Asterisk/FreePBX you’re probably using CID Superfecta for you caller ID lookups. We started noticing that if the # wasn’t being provided, the name returned was CID Superfecta! which looks odd to users.
